Hi All,
I have been trying to get FreeNAS 8.3.0 to work on a Asus M5A78L-M LX3 motherboard, after solving some BIOS instability issues I found that the NiC on the motherboard was not going to work with FreeBSD.
I purchased a PCIe card (Dynamode Gigabit PCIe card), which has FreeBSD in the list of systems it works with.
Having installed this card I get the following message in POST
Mounting local file systems:
Setting host name: freenas.local.
Mskc0: Uncorrectable PCI Express error
Msk0: link state changed to DOWN
Msk0: no link.........msk0: link state changed to UP
Got link
DHCPDISCOVER on msk0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 7
DHCPDISCOVER on msk0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 8
DHCPDISCOVER on msk0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 8
DHCPDISCOVER on msk0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 8
DHCPDISCOVER on msk0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 9
DHCPDISCOVER on msk0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 15
This then goes on to give me a HTTP\\0.0.0.0
as it does not seem to talk to the DHCP server in my router.
The netmask 255.255.255.255 is not correct for my system, but I don't know how to change this.
I have got a CD with the card, but have no idea how to check if the correct drivers are loaded and how to correct it if they are not.
Can some one tell me where to go from here please?
