CouchPotato / Transmission / Plex guide?

So I run pretty much exclusively Plex on my box, about 46TB worth of movies and shows, however I've had to manually grab every single thing, name it accordingly, move it over to the server etc - each week when new episodes of shows I follow come out I have to repeat the same thing over again - I believe it's possible with plugins like CP/Transmission to have my box download the latest episodes of things automatically, to fit my desired specs (eg; 1080p copies of 720p copies?) unzip them, rename the files, move them to their shows location for plex to see, if that's all correct, could anyone point me in the direction of a newbie guide to get this done?

My plex is plexpass installed in a manual jail, but I think the others should be fine as plugins? Going to have another go myself but any help getting this setup properly by someone who has done it before would be greatly appreciated.

after a quick google search for "freenas setup transmission" :)

It's a bit dated, but I'm sure most of the info is relevant.

Note: I'm just looking at it myself and I haven't used it yet.
