Supermicro has two similar motherboards; the MBD-X10SLM+F-O and the MBD-X10SLL-F-.

The difference was the chipset between the motherboards.
What do you guys think: Intel C224 or C222?

What are the differences?

The 224 has 4 SATA III ports and 2 SATA II ports
The 222 has 2 SATA III ports and 4 SATA II ports
That's pretty much it and this seems to equal a price diff of about $20US

It doesn't make a huge difference only if you use an SSD. Would you personally go with the cheaper one?

ZFS performance on either board would be the same, so yes, given the warranty is the same, the money saved would be wise indeed.
